Roper Greyell was proud to sponsor the 44th Annual Chinese Legal Community Banquet, organized by the UBC Chinese Law Students’ Association, which took place on July 10, 2026 at Sun Sui Wah Seafood Restaurant.
The 2026 event theme was “Fit” and reflected the belief that diversity begins with open dialogue about belonging. A distinguished panel of guest speakers shared their perspectives on this theme: Evelyn Tsao, Brian Yuen, and Judge Patrick Chen (retired).
About the Event:
Since 1979, the UBC Chinese Law Students’ Association has hosted an annual banquet for legal professionals and students to socialize over a traditional full-course Chinese dinner in recognition of the great cultural diversity in the Greater Vancouver legal community. This event serves as an occasion for lawyers from different fields to meet and network. The aim is to draw attendance not only from members of the Chinese legal community, but practitioners from all different cultural backgrounds.
