Los Angeles Partner Brant Dveirin will receive the Outstanding Real Estate Lawyer Award of 2026 from the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) at the 2026 Real Property Section Installation & Awards Dinner, hosted at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel on May 28 at 6:00 p.m. PT.

The LACBA Real Property Section is focused on all aspects of real estate law from transactional to litigation. The section aims to provide education, resources, and professional connections for attorneys across the real property industry.

Mr. Dveirin's practice encompasses land use, environmental and construction law, as well as general real estate and business matters. He has extensive experience handling class actions, homeowner association issues, product liability disputes, land use issues, and matters involving eminent domain and inverse condemnation. Mr. Dveirin also advises clients on landlord-tenant law and related litigation, including rent control, habitability claims, eviction proceedings, and property rights. His clients include public agencies; commercial, industrial, and residential property owners and developers; manufacturing and industrial businesses; and commercial lenders.

Mr. Dveirin has for decades represented the City of Los Angeles Redevelopment Agency in CEQA and eminent domain matters related to real estate projects, including Staples (nowCrypto.comArena), L.A. Live, Ralphs downtown supermarket, and the Hollywood & Highland project. He has defended the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) on a decade-long Section 8 class action case and continues to represent HACLA in other litigation and transactional matters, including affordable housing projects funded through State Project Homekey. He represents the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority in eminent domain actions involving the downtown Red Line and westside Purple Line projects. He also serves as counsel to the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts on litigation and general counsel matters.

Mr. Dveirin represented Temple Beth Am on a pro bono basis in securing City approval of adjacent property for the development of a temple school and gymnasium, as well as interim use as a playing field, under the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA). He also serves as legal adviser to the POW Investigative Project, an organization supporting families of Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action from the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

Mr. Dveirin is a former Chair of the LACBA Real Property Section, a former member of the LACBA Board of Trustees, and a former Vice President of LACBA. He currently serves as Chair of the LACBA Senior Lawyers Section.
