Riker Danzig Associate Jonathan Barrera has joined Zufall Health's Board of Directors, bringing a meaningful combination of legal experience and personal connection to the communities the organization serves.
A first-generation American whose parents immigrated from Peru, Jonathan's early life was shaped by relying on community health centers like Zufall Health when his family needed care before they had health insurance. That lived experience now informs his commitment contributing to Zufall Health's mission of expanding access to quality healthcare.
He was introduced to Zufall Health by longtime board member and Riker Of Counsel Michael O'Donnell, who encouraged Jonathan to continue the firm's legacy of board membership.
"Growing up, I lived in the same types of communities that Zufall Health serves today," Barrera shared. "I saw how grateful people were for access to care — and I lived it myself. Healthcare shouldn't be a privilege reserved for those who can afford it. Everyone deserves the opportunity to be healthy."
