Ward and Smith is proud to sponsor UNC Law’s Spring Meet the Tar Heels Reception on January 29 at the Carolina Club in the Hill Alumni Center on the UNC–Chapel Hill campus.
This in-person event brings employers and first-year law students together in a relaxed setting designed to encourage meaningful conversation. Attendees will enjoy refreshments while connecting with peers and legal professionals across various industries and geographic regions.
The Firm will be represented by Christina Cress and Mayukh Sircar, who look forward to meeting UNC Law 1Ls, sharing insights about their experiences at Ward and Smith, and discussing opportunities within the Firm.
Christina leads Ward and Smith’s Energy + Utilities Practice, guiding clients through regulatory compliance, energy policy, and complex utility matters, including electric and natural gas rate cases and resource planning dockets. Her experience includes advising on electric and water utility issues, navigating new energy programs in North Carolina, and drawing on her prior work as a staff attorney at the North Carolina Utilities Commission.
Mayukh is a Certified Information Privacy Professional–United States (CIPP/US) and a member of the Firm’s Technology Transactions practice. He advises businesses across industries on privacy and data security matters, including developing privacy protection practices, managing cybersecurity risk, structuring and implementing compliance programs, data breach planning and response, contract and vendor management, and licensing and technology transactions.
Ward and Smith values building early connections with future legal talent and is pleased to support the reception.
