Following a successful closing on 20 June 2025, funds managed by Blackstone Credit & Insurance ("BXCI") and leading Canadian institutional investors acquired a non-controlling interest in a newly established subsidiary of Rogers that owns a portion of the company's wireless backhaul transport infrastructure.

Walkers partners Justin Hart and Bicrom Das, with support from senior counsel Sarah Dombowsky and Jenna Wong, alongside associates Richard Beazley, Sophie Dibb, and Natasja Levy, advised certain BXCI funds and fundraising vehicles involved on the transaction, alongside instructing counsel Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Regulatory advice was provided by partner Lucy Frew, alongside senior counsel Callum Wright.

A separate Walkers team led by partner Adeola Adeyemi advised the investors partnering with Blackstone on the acquisition. She was supported by senior counsel Joe Healey and associates Liam Doughty and Alex McGrath. White & Case LLP acted as onshore counsel.

This exciting cross-border transaction demonstrates the depth of bench of our finance and funds practices and our ability to deliver high-quality, tailored advice across multiple workstreams in complex global deals.
