Appleby Hong Kong acted as Bermuda counsel to China Everbright Water Limited ("China Everbright Water") in connection with its registration of debt financing instruments in the National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors of the People's Republic of China with a total registered issue size of up to RMB8 billion ("Debt Financing Instruments"), and its issuance of the first tranche of Medium-Term Notes in the principal amount of RMB1.5 billion under the Debt Financing Instruments ("2025 First Tranche Medium Term Notes").

China Everbright Water is a Bermuda-incorporated environmental protection company focusing on water environment management. It is currently dual listed on the Mainboard of Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited and the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited ("Hong Kong Stock Exchange"), with China Everbright Environment Group Limited as its controlling shareholder.
The Debt Financing Instruments will be issued in multiple tranches. The target subscribers for the 2025 First Tranche Medium Term Notes are institutional investors in the national inter-bank bond market of mainland China.
Appleby team previously advised China Everbright Water on its listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2019 and has since been engaged on a number of its significant issuances and registrations of Medium Term Notes.
