Academic Foundation and Early Career

Born in 1942 in Kathikas, Paphos, Kypros Chrysostomides pursued his law degree at the University of Athens, followed by postgraduate studies at the Luxembourg Law School in Comparative Law. He later obtained his Doctorate in Law (Ph.D.) at the University of Bonn, Germany, specializing in Business Law. His early academic pursuits demonstrated a deep commitment to legal scholarship, which he would continue throughout his career.

Following his doctoral studies, he was appointed a research fellow in Private International Law at the University of Bonn and later worked at the European Commission of Human Rights in Strasbourg, further refining his expertise in human rights law.
