ABA Litigation Section Appoints Piper Rudnick Partner William F. Campbell As Co-Director

William F. Campbell has been appointed co-director of the ABA Section of Litigation's Division V, Substantive Areas of Litigation, the law firm has announced. His one-year term began following the ABA’s recently concluded annual meeting.

SAN FRANCISCO, August 5 - Piper Rudnick partner William F. Campbell has been appointed co-director of the ABA Section of Litigation's Division V, Substantive Areas of Litigation, the law firm has announced. His one-year term began following the ABA’s recently concluded annual meeting.

Mr. Campbell will be responsible for overseeing, directing, and supporting Litigation Section committees that focus on such areas as antitrust, business, construction, employment, real estate, and securities litigation.

He has been active in the Section for 14 years, and his work included a previous stint as co-director of Substantive Areas of Litigation in 2001 – 2002. Mr. Campbell previously co-chaired the Section’s insurance Coverage Committee, and for the past two years he guided the Section’s committee newsletters program. The Section has over 70,000 members.

"We are delighted to see Bill’s deep litigation experience and his qualities as a leader acknowledged by this appointment," said Robb Scott, managing partner of the firm’s San Francisco office, where Mr. Campbell is based. "Bill already has received two awards from the Litigation Section for his outstanding leadership, and I know that the members of the Section will continue to benefit from his energy, judgment, and fairhandedness in this new role ."

Mr. Campbell, a partner in Piper Rudnick’s Insurance Litigation and Coverage group, is a litigator with over 25 years of experience representing clients in insurance coverage, professional liability, and other business cases. He represents insurance companies, agents, brokers, and wholesalers in insurance industry disputes and counsels and represents professionals, including accounting firms, law firms, and insurance brokers, in professional liability matters. On the policyholder side, he assists clients in analyzing their insurance needs and enhancing their insurance programs.

Mr. Campbell also writes and speaks extensively about insurance-related topics before a broad variety of audiences.
