Gowling WLG is pleased to welcome Aleksandra (Aleks) Finelli to its Real Estate Group as a partner in the firm's Toronto office.
Aleks has over 20 years' experience in commercial real estate and project development, as well as commercial leasing, secured lending and project financing. Her practice includes a variety of commercial transactions, including real property acquisitions and dispositions, sale/leasebacks, land development and financing transactions.
Harnessing this broad experience, Aleks regularly advises clients on complex leasing matters involving office, retail and industrial properties, including mixed-use projects. Complementing her commercial real estate practice, she has substantial experience working on public-private partnerships, green energy projects (including wind and solar power farms), senior housing and the privatization of gaming facilities.
Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Aleks was a partner in the Toronto office of another major global law firm. Outside of her legal practice, Aleks is a member of the Toronto Commercial Real Estate Women (Toronto CREW) and a past director of The Gatehouse, an organization that provides support and resources for individuals impacted by childhood sexual abuse.
