An e-learning platform has been launched offering free online courses to individuals working in the tourism sectors.
Malta Coronavirus (COVID-19)

During a press conference held on 8 May 2020, the Ministry for Tourism and Consumer Protection, together with the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA), launched an e-learning platform offering free online courses to individuals working in the tourism sectors. The courses are financed by MTA. The content of the courses covers a variety of skills and occupational levels including management and leadership skills, personal skills, self-development, customer care, linguistic skills and specific industry-related skills. The scheme is a one-year project.

Whilst tourism is on hold, this incentive is aimed at making the best use of employee and employer resources in these challenging times and empower the workforce to come back stronger and better after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The list of courses can be accessed from the portal of the Institute of Tourism Studies.
