Where the designated patent is amended or revoked, the Hong Kong Registry must be notified and the Standard Patent will then be treated as similarly amended or revoked.

In the case of amendment, failure to record this within six months will disentitle the proprietor to pecuniary damages or an account of profits until the amendment is notified.

In this respect, the Hong Kong patent will not, once granted, be wholly independent of the designated patent.
