The Brazilian National Agency for Waterway Transportation (ANTAQ) has launched Public Consultation SRG No. 01/2025 to address the procedures for market consultation regarding the availability of Brazilian vessels.
The objective is to gather input on the preliminary Regulatory Impact Analysis report related to Topic 2.2, “Procedures for market consultation on the availability of Brazilian vessels,” from the 2025–2028 Regulatory Agenda.
This topic specifically concerns cabotage navigation, both in terms of slot and voyage chartering, and was prompted by the sector's increasing dynamism, demands from regulated entities, and recent legislative changes.
ANTAQ aims to promote: (i) the improvement of circulation and blocking criteria; (ii) better specification of the intended operations' characteristics; and (iii) greater effectiveness of the procedures.
Interested parties may submit their contributions until October 8, 2025, by filling out this electronic form.
