SEC General Counsel Robert B. Stebbins will step down from his position in early January. Michael Conley, currently the SEC Solicitor, will serve as Acting General Counsel.

SEC Chair Jay Clayton highlighted some of Mr. Stebbins' accomplishments, including (i) advising on more than 85 rules and hundreds of orders and interpretive releases, (ii) shepherding the SEC through new judicially imposed limitations from the U.S. Supreme Court and (iii) solidifying his Office's presence in the SEC enforcement process.
