Global law firm Clyde & Co today celebrates one year since the opening of its Bristol office, during which time it has doubled the number of fee earners based in the city.

The firm's Bristol office opened on 1 May 2018 with the hiring of three partners: Ian Peacock and John Eastlake, who joined the firm's Professional and Financial Disputes (PFD) group, and Peter O'Brien, who joined its Global Projects & Construction team.

Since its opening, the firm's Bristol office has doubled its number of total fee earners to 11, who work as part of the firm's national and international PFD and projects and construction teams.

Partner Ian Peacock says: "We are delighted to have hit the ground running with clients in the area, with a large number of insurance clients instructing us on multiple matters. Bristol is a key centre for both professional and financial disputes and infrastructure work, with many of our existing clients operating in the city or looking for support in the South West more broadly. We look forward to continuing this success and expanding further in the coming months and years."

Clyde & Co's PFD group comprises over 150 lawyers in the UK and its professional liability practice has a long established reputation as a leading advisor on policy coverage, defending claims and regulatory proceedings, focusing on each of the major professions, as well as 'emerging professions' such as recruitment, management consultants and IT professionals. The group operates across all Clyde & Co's offices worldwide, with specialist professional liability teams in key jurisdictions.

With over 150 infrastructure lawyers across six continents, Clyde & Co's Global Projects & Construction team delivers transactional and contentious legal services to the world's most high profile and complex infrastructure projects. It has an established footprint across all infrastructure classes and particular skill in applying the developments in mature markets to assist both the private and public sectors in emerging territories.
