Cains, the Isle of Man-based commercial law firm, has been short-listed in the "offshore law firm of the year" category for the ALB SE Asia Law Awards 2010. The nomination is the second in the two years since the firm opened its office in Singapore.
ALB is the only independent magazine dedicated to the latest legal news, events and developments in Australia and across Asia.
The ALB SE Asia Law Awards recognises the excellence of south east Asia’s leading law firms as well as the top deals and dealmakers. The evening of the awards, which will be held on 4 June 2010, is regarded as the most important night for the legal profession in the region.
One of the key transactions which Cains acted on recently was Genting Singapore PLC’s rights issue which raised S$1.63 billion (US$1.14 billion).
Andrew Corlett, Managing Director, Cains, said: "We are delighted to have been short-listed for this award which demonstrates the strides which we have made in building our Asian practice."
