Mumbai, 23rd September 2026: Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys (LKS) has appointed Vinod Joseph as Partner in the Corporate and M&A team at the Mumbai office, effective 15th September 2026.
Vinod brings over 27 years of comprehensive experience across corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, investment funds, banking, technology, data privacy and regulatory compliance. Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions at leading Indian and international law firms and financial institutions, including Economic Laws Practice, Argus Partners, Global Infrastructure Partners, IDFC Alternatives, Brand Capital (Times Group), Reed Smith LLP, Lawrence Graham LLP, and Chambers of Zia Mody, among others.
His background spans high-value domestic and cross-border transactions across infrastructure, real estate, technology, and financial services sectors. He has been recognized in the Legal 500 GC Powerlist for his contributions to the legal profession and has authored several publications on investment funds and related topics.
Vinod has worked with investment funds since 2007, but the last three years were solely focussed on investment funds regulated by SEBI and IFSCA, developing specialized expertise in fund structuring and regulatory compliance.
His academic credentials include a B.A. LL.B. (Honours) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, and an LL.M. (with Merit) in Corporate and Commercial Laws from the London School of Economics. Vinod is an Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa, a Solicitor of England & Wales, a California Attorney, and holds a Diploma in Investment Compliance from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, UK.
At LKS, Vinod will focus on investment funds, SEBI and IFSCA regulated entities, SEBI licensing, private client advisory, trusts and wealth management structures and related corporate transactions.
