Shepherd and Wedderburn is pleased to announce that its Private Wealth and Tax team has once again been recognised in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2026, retaining its Band 1 ranking for Private Wealth Law in Scotland and achieving a Band 2 ranking for Private Wealth Disputes.

The rankings reflect the team’s continued commitment to delivering the highest standards of client service and legal expertise to individuals, families, trustees, charities, business owners and landowners.

Clients and professional contacts praised the team’s “excellent subject matter knowledge and awareness of wider issues”, adding that “the level of service provided to clients is also excellent”.

The firm was also recognised for its ability to support clients with complex, long-term matters, with one source noting that it “has proven itself to be adaptable to dealing with layered strategies that are component parts to a bigger-picture journey for the client”.

In addition to the team rankings, seven lawyers were acknowledged as notable practitioners: Chris McGill, Gillian Campbell, Eleanor Kerr, Alexis Graham, Douglas Sinclair, Malcolm Rust and Keith McLaren.

Chris McGill’s commerciality and client service was recognised, with one source adding: “Chris is caring, thoughtful, sensible and intellectually strong.” Gillian Campbell was praised as “a true professional” who is “extremely knowledgeable” and “commercially aware with a real focus on the bigger picture”. Eleanor Kerr was commended for her “professionalism and excellent client engagement”, while Alexis Graham was recognised as a strong communicator who “quickly pinpoints the key concerns and advice for clients”.

Douglas Sinclair was highlighted for his ability to “distil complicated issues into clear, easily understandable advice”, combined with “a high degree of technical competence”. Malcolm Rust was described as “one of the most able people I have worked with”, and Keith McLaren was praised for taking “the time to understand you, rather than just the current issue”.
