We have once again secured top-tier recognition across the Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands (BVI) and Bermuda in the Legal 500 Caribbean 2026 edition, reaffirming our position as the leading law firm across the region’s international investment hubs.
We received Tier 1 rankings across 14 practice areas, in addition to 62 lawyer rankings, spanning 49 individual lawyers across our Caribbean offices. A number of our lawyers were recognised in multiple categories, reflecting the depth of talent and collaboration across jurisdictions.
In the Cayman Islands, we achieved Tier 1 rankings in every category: Banking, Finance and Capital Markets; Corporate and Commercial; Dispute Resolution; Insurance/Reinsurance; Investment Funds; Regulatory and Compliance; and Trusts/Private Client. This outstanding result reflects the strength of our team, with 27 lawyers individually recognised for their expertise.
Rob Jackson, Cayman Islands office managing partner, commented:
'Achieving Tier 1 rankings across all categories in the Cayman
Islands reflects the exceptional skill and dedication of our team.
This achievement underscores our commitment to delivering
market-leading advice and supporting the Cayman Islands’
continued growth as a leading international investment
hub.’
In Bermuda, we achieved Tier 1 rankings across four of five
practice areas, including a move up to Tier 1 in the
Insurance/Reinsurance and continued recognition in Banking, Finance
and Capital Markets; Dispute Resolution; and Regulatory and
Compliance. With a record 14 lawyers ranked, this result is a
testament to the depth of talent and experience in this key
market.
Kevin Taylor, Bermuda office managing partner, added: 'Seeing a record 14 lawyers ranked this year is a fantastic achievement for our Bermuda team. It’s a clear reflection of the team’s strength and the calibre of work delivered for our clients every day.'
Our BVI team earned a Tier 1 ranking in three practice areas: Regulatory and Compliance; Dispute Resolution; and Trusts/Private Client. Partner in our Regulatory and Risk Advisory practice, Iona Wright and senior counsel Colleen Farrington were ranked for the first time, highlighting our growing capabilities in the jurisdiction.
Matthew Cowman, BVI managing partner, said: 'This recognition underscores our commitment to delivering exceptional legal services across the BVI. It’s great to see our team’s hard work and expertise recognised once again alongside first-time recognition for our talented individuals.’
Three lawyers from our London office have also been recognised in the Foreign-Based Expertise category: Jan Golaszewski as a leading partner, and James Denham and Jennifer Maughan as next generation partners.
Together, these results reinforce our longstanding leadership
across the Caribbean’s international investment hubs,
demonstrating the strength, consistency and talent of our regional
teams.
