Leading global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer has appointed partners Emmanuel Ronco and Vincent Denoyelle as co-heads of its Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Corporate practice in continental Europe, a new leadership position which underscores the firm's commitment to strategic, cross-border TMT capabilities. Their roles came into effect on 12 September 2025.
Emmanuel and Vincent will lead the firm's continental European strategy for technology transactions, which combines the firm's corporate capabilities (including commercial agreements, M&A, venture capital and private equity) with its IP, data, and emerging technology expertise into a single, integrated offering.
They will also drive integrated media and entertainment and telecoms transactions across continental Europe, particularly in France, Germany, Italy and Spain, develop cross-border transatlantic opportunities with the firm's expanded US presence, and enhance connections and capabilities across the firm's global offices.
Emmanuel and Vincent commented: "With a strong European foundation and deepening ties across the US and Asia-Pacific, we are building a TMT platform that supports our clients at every stage of growth – from startup to strategic transaction. We are excited to shape and define cross-border legal support in the next chapter of tech, media and entertainment, and telecoms."
Emmanuel and Vincent joined the firm's Corporate practice based in Paris in July 2025. Emmanuel advises international groups, particularly in the technology, luxury, hospitality, biotechnology and sport sectors, on IP, AI, data privacy and cybersecurity matters. Vincent focuses on internet and IT law, advising vendors and customers on matters involving IT contracts, fintech, data privacy and cybersecurity, cloud, tech regulation, domain names and AI. Emmanuel was the co-head of the global IP group and Vincent was the international head of media at their previous firm.
