Mr. Pedro Lorenti, senior counsel of Alfaro-Abogados, will be the new representative of its London office as from the 1 of October of 2005. He is a seasoned attorney in corporate and government matters and has a very strong expertise in public, administrative and constitutional law, economic regulation and international law. He holds a Master in Public Administration (MPA) from J. F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University; a Master in European Community Law, from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid Law School and a Master in Administrative Law from the Universidad Austral in Argentina. He also holds a J.D. equivalent degree awarded by the Universidad de Buenos Aires Law School and is currently working on his Ph.D. dissertation about State liability under bilateral investment treaties, for the Program of Public Law and Legal Philosophy of the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid Law School.
He was Vice-president of Nucleoeléctrica Argentina S. A., estate owned company operating nuclear power plants (2001 - 2002) and Head of the Legal Department of EDESUR S.A. - electric distribution (1994 -1996).
Mr. Lorenti will undoubtedly contribute to the firm extensive government experience and expertise in international transactions and would help to strengthen the relationships with Alfaro-Abogados European clients.
