Regional law firm Parsons Behle & Latimer (Parsons) is pleased to welcome associate attorney Anna M. Paseman back to its Salt Lake City office and its litigation practice. Paseman returns to the firm following a period serving as a judicial law clerk for Chief Judge Robert J. Shelby, U.S. District Court. She says her draw to the litigation practice is partially fueled by her past excitement for the researching, analyzing and writing aspects of pretrial practice. Paseman also worked at Parsons as a summer associate prior to her clerkship. Now, she focuses her practice on representing businesses and individuals in complex litigation before state and federal courts.

“I’m thrilled to return to Parsons and get back to work tackling complicated legal challenges for our clients,” she says. “Parsons’s litigation team is full of talented attorneys. As a new associate, I’m eager to learn from and collaborate with this brilliant team.”

Paseman says she became interested in a career at Parsons during law school at the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney School of Law when she became aware of the amount of pro bono work Parsons’ attorneys do in the community. “As a student, I was impressed to see Parsons’ attorneys—shareholders and associates—regularly volunteering at the University of Utah’s pro bono clinics. To me, this reflected an earnest commitment to helping community members with unmet legal needs,” she says. As an Idaho native, Paseman also appreciates Parsons’ footprint within the Intermountain Region. The final factor that persuaded her to join Parsons, she says, is the collegiality, mentoring and friendliness of Parsons’ attorneys.

Litigation practice Co-chairperson Liz Butler says, “We’re very happy that Anna has chosen to become part of Parsons’ litigation practice. We were impressed by her knowledge and willingness to jump in as a summer associate. Now, as one of our newest attorneys, we know that Anna will be a valued member of our team. We look forward to working with her and watching her practice grow.”
