At Milwaukee-based Godfrey & Kahn, Andrew Oettinger is admired for his commitment to mentoring and training the next generation of litigators, said colleague Emily McKeown, business development director for the firm.
Outside the firm, Oettinger's reputation as a litigator precedes him.
"Andy shows talent and aplomb in every tribunal in which he litigates, which include state and federal courts across the country, tribal courts and the International Chamber of Commerce," McKeown said. "Recent successes include wins in the post-merger controversies, commercial torts, shareholder litigation, insurance sales and defense of bad faith claims against financial institutions."
Oettinger's colleagues say he "truly shines" when it comes to mentorship. He manages the litigation team's formal training program. In addition to formal training, he is frequently providing informal training, thanks to his open door and approachable demeanor, McKeown added.
