Lawyers of Color has named associate Ciera Marie Colon to its 2022 Hot List. The annual compilation recognizes "junior partners, associates or in-house counsel who show promise in their careers and demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession."

A real estate associate based in the Atlanta Office, Ms. Colon represents clients in complex commercial real estate transactions. Her practice includes sale-leaseback transactions and single and multisite acquisitions and dispositions of industrial, office, and retail projects on behalf of sellers and purchasers. She has extensive experience in financing and refinancing of real estate assets for both lenders and borrowers, and in commercial leasing and subleasing of industrial and office space throughout the United States.

A member of the Georgia and Ohio State Bar Associations, Ms. Colon has served as a volunteer coach for the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Moot Court Team. She authored "Rules are Meant to be Broken: Why the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network Should Allow Pediatric Transplantation of Adult Lungs," published in the Journal of Law and Health.

Based in Washington, D.C., Lawyers of Color is a nonprofit devoted to promoting diversity in the legal profession and advancing democracy and equality in marginalized communities. The organization produces events, conferences, and publications, and collaborates with media outlets to publish numerous reports and studies.
