Chile on Water

The Chilean government wants to transform our country as the cheapest green hydrogen producer worldwide and to become a relevant player in this industry globally.

On January 27, 2018, five years after being presented before the National Congress, Law 21,064 that "Introduces modifications to the regulatory framework that rules water on inspection and sanctions matters", was enacted and published in the Official Gazette (Bulletin 8149-09) (the Law).

On January 15th, Resolution DGA N° 3,438 was published. It contains a list of water rights subject to the payment of a fine for lack of use.
