A patent for invention shall expire 20 years after the filing date.

Note - Under the old patent regulations, a patent for invention shall expire 15 years after the filing date, or the priority date of the application if the Paris Convention priority is claimed.

A patent for utility solution shall expire 10 years after the filing date.

Note - Under the old patent regulations, a patent for utility solution shall expire six (6) years after the filing date, or the priority date of the application if the Paris Convention priority is claimed.
