Toronto (October 1, 2026) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) has appointed Ryan Tomicic as national business leader, international, strengthening the firm’s cross-border capabilities and inbound market strategy.
In this role, Tomicic leads BLG’s international strategy, connecting global businesses, foreign counsel and multinational corporations with the firm’s national platform. He works across BLG’s corporate, capital markets, regulatory and disputes practices to deliver coordinated, multidisciplinary counsel for inbound investment and cross-border operations.
By integrating dedicated international leads across key practice areas, Tomicic strengthens the firm’s international referral networks and ensures foreign enterprises navigating the Canadian market receive seamless, strategic support.

Based in Montréal, Tomicic is a partner specializing in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, equity financing and private investment fund formation. Over his career, he has advised on more than 200 transactions representing more than US$10 billion in aggregate enterprise value.
This appointment marks the next stage in BLG’s international growth model, building on the foundation established by Lynn McGrade, who continues as leader of the firm’s national investment management group.
