Bevin Shores, a partner in Gowling WLG’s Hamilton office, has been appointed a judge of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in St. Catharines. Her appointment takes effect immediately.
With close to 20 years of experience, Bevin has built a broad litigation practice spanning commercial, construction, products liability, insurance coverage, professional negligence, and other complex matters. Since joining Gowling WLG in 2021, she has become an integral member of the firm’s Disputes Department, and has acted on significant matters that have had an impact on the local community, such as the Ambassador Bridge blockade injunctions and the Hamilton encampment appeal.
“Bevin has made an extraordinary contribution to our firm and the legal profession,” said Benjamin Na, Chair of Gowling WLG’s Disputes Department. “Her intelligence, judgment, generosity, and commitment are evident in everything she does. We could not be prouder to see her take on this important new role and wish her every success on the bench.”
