Suzanne Todd, partner in Withers' London family law team has been nominated as Global President of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL) with effect from 5 September 2026, carrying out the role alongside her legal practice.
IAFL is a worldwide association of family lawyers dedicated to improving the practice of law and the administration of justice through family law. Founded in 1986, IAFL now has over 1,090 members across 127 distinct legal jurisdictions and provides a unique network for education and the referral of matters, as well as working on law reform around the world. Alongside nominating Suzanne as President, IAFL celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
Suzanne has been an active member of the IAFL since she joined in 2011, taking on several roles during her time with the organisation including joining the IAFL Executive Committee in 2020 as Secretary. She will serve as President for 12 months, and hand over to her successor at the close of the Annual Meeting in Mumbai in September 2027.
