Kaufman Rossin, the largest independent CPA and advisory firm in Florida and one of the top 50 firms in the U.S., has promoted Michael Brainard, CPA, to principal within the Entrepreneurial Services practice.
With more than 20 years of experience, Brainard provides accounting and tax services to entrepreneurial clients at all stages of growth, including start-ups. He specializes in working with closely held businesses and their shareholders, offering strategic guidance in tax planning, compliance, and financial reporting.
Prior to joining Kaufman Rossin, Brainard served as a tax director at a Top 10 accounting firm, where he managed tax planning and compliance for middle-market companies and provided outsourced controller and financial reporting services.

Brainard is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Indiana and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Indiana CPA Society.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University Northwest and a master’s degree in taxation from DePaul University.
