Goodwin partner Diana M. Brummer is one of only two law firm partners to be named to Private Equity Real Estate's (PERE) 100 Most Influential 2016-2025, which recognizes the individuals who have made the biggest marks on institutional private real estate capital markets in the past 10 years. The honorees are considered to be the principal movers and shakers during one of the most testing decades for real estate executives.
Diana serves as Co-Chair of Goodwin's global Real Estate Industry group. Her experience spans the spectrum of commercial real estate transactions with a particular emphasis on senior, construction and mezzanine financings (for both lenders and borrowers), complex joint ventures, acquisitions and dispositions, loan workouts, real estate recapitalizations and development. Diana represents a wide variety of client types, including institutional investors, pension funds, private real estate funds and public and private REITs, as well as their investment advisers. She also regularly counsels her clients on all aspects of managing distressed real estate assets.
PERE highlighted Goodwin for advising on 15 real estate funds in the last year, aggregating more than $15 billion of equity commitments, and recognized Diana for "advising the cream of the crop."
In addition to this honor, Diana is recognized by Chambers USA for Real Estate, The Legal 500 US and Best Lawyers. She has been named to Globe Street's Women of Influence list and was recognized by Crain's New York Business as a Notable Leader in Real Estate.
