Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman (CLL) received the U.S. Trademark Prosecution Firm of the Year award at The 2024 Global IP Awards ceremony held at The St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London, England on October 17, 2024. CLL was one of three U.S. law firms shortlisted for the award. CLL partners Kieran Doyle, Richard Mandel, and Deborah Squiers attended the awards ceremony.
Launched in 2019, the Global IP Awards recognizes the work of intellectual property law firms in litigation, prosecution, and transactional work. The Global IP Awards is organized by IAM and WTR, which employ full-time journalists and dedicated researchers in Europe, the U.S., and Asia.
Trevor Little, Managing Editor of IAM and WTR, delivered the welcome address at the Awards dinner, stating, "Tonight, we recognise the outstanding achievements of law and attorney firms in litigation, prosecution, and transactional work during 2023/24. In total, we have shortlists for 176 awards across 77 jurisdictions. That number alone illustrates the depth and spread of IP expertise available to corporate teams the world over."
Proceeds from the dinner will go towards supporting the Swawou School for Girls in Sierra Leone. Established in 2008, the school offers free, quality education to girls from the Swawou community of Kenema town, eastern Sierra Leone. IAM and WTR's parent company Law Business Research is the major financial supporter of the school.
