We are committed to creating a bias free working environment, and to maintain an inclusive culture with equal opportunities for everyone.

Building on the themes of International Women's Day, we are delighted to announce the Withers KhattarWong Future Female Leaders Award, in partnership with the Singapore Management University Yong Pung How School of Law.

As the firm celebrates its 50th anniversary in Singapore, this award reflects and underscores our commitment to fostering leadership and advancing gender empowerment within the legal profession. This award, which will start from SMU's next academic year, offers a comprehensive suite of opportunities for personal growth, mentorship, and professional development, towards cultivating the next generation of female leaders in law.

"I am tremendously proud that we can offer this program, a diverse firm is a stronger firm and this is a fantastic initiative for future female leaders," adds Shashi Nathan, joint managing partner in Singapore.

Unlike traditional academic accolades, our focus is on identifying and nurturing leadership potential among young women, aligning with the global firm's ethos. We are particularly proud of our track record of supporting women. 45% of our global partnership are women, including the two most senior roles within the global firm. Across our US offices, as reported in Law360 Glass Ceiling report 2022, Withersworldwide is ranked 3rd among US firms with 101-250 lawyers for the highest representation of women in equity partnerships.

"As the firm's leader of our diversity, equity, and inclusion group, I am extremely proud of this program and what it represents. It underscores our commitment to opening doors for promising future female lawyers, offering them not just an opportunity but a vital foothold in the industry. I am looking forward to welcoming more female trailblazers to the profession," says Amarjit Kaur, partner and global lead for diversity, equity and inclusion, based in Singapore.
