Arendt and Medernach acted as Luxembourg counsel to CVC in connection with the formation and raising of CVC’s sixth Asia-focused private equity fund (“Asia VI”), which raised US$6.8 billion. Asia VI saw strong demand from new and returning blue chip investors, exceeding its US$6 billion target and original hard cap. Asia VI is 50% larger than its predecessor fund, Asia V, which was raised in 2020 and closed at US$4.5 billion.

CVC has been active in Asia since 1999 and in this time it has made more than 80 acquisitions in the region. CVC's private equity platform manages €118 billion of assets and comprises four strategies: Europe/Americas, Asia, Strategic Opportunities and Growth.

The Arendt and Medernach team included Adrian Aldinger, Susanna Güven, Karl Hinn, Tom Berg, Frances Babbage, Maria Savvidou, Lucca Bruzzi Porto and Albert Louw.
