In a seminar entitled 'Practical Aspects of Employment & Privacy Law in the Gaming Industry', CSB Advocates addressed those who are familiar or work within the iGaming industry about several issues pertaining to employment and privacy within the industry.
Some of the key topics and several issues that were addressed included taxation, the social security system, leave, working time and overtime, secondments, posting of workers, retention schemes, discipline and dismissal, processing of personal data, technology at the workplace and social media. One of the speakers, Dr. Ann Bugeja said that the seminar provided the ideal platform where those present could discuss the most controversial topics affecting this fast-moving industry where the law is constantly being updated.
The seminar was held on two sessions, the first entitled 'Employment, Retention & Disciplinary Action' and the second session ' Privacy & Data Protection at the Workplace'. The sessions were targeted to in-house counsel, human resource professionals, corporate executives as well as business owners in the iGaming industry. CSB Advocates are highly satisfied with the level of participation and outcome of the event.
