Cyprus ranks first among the countries of the European Union and the world, in terms of the percentage of blood donors, which reaches 9% of the population. Seventy thousand units of blood collected every year prove the social sensitivity of Cypriots.

Criteria

Anyone aged 18-45 who does not have a serious medical problem (eg communicable diseases, malignancies, heart diseases) can become a volunteer donor. Registering as a volunteer donor is a purely voluntary and altruistic act and the donor has the right to change his mind. No volunteer donor is paid for this act nor will have any financial cost .
