Rachel Boulet, CPA, CA

Rachel started at the firm in 2007 as a  co-op student and joined the firm full time upon her graduation in 2008. Over a decade later, Rachel now serves as one of Crowe MacKay's leaders, invested in mentoring the firm's up-and-coming professionals, while staying on top of new trends and technology to best serve her clients. An avid learner, Rachel is always looking to grow her knowledge and skillset, while helping staff and clients find the right solutions.

While she focuses primarily on companies in the construction, information technology, retail sales, and wholesale distribution industries, Rachel also has a healthy practice serving not for profit organizations including charities and societies. She is knowledgeable in the area of accounting standards for private and for not for profit organizations.

Growing her career with Crowe means Rachel has worked alongside some of the firm's veteran leaders including retired partner  Jack Arnold, CEO  Stefan Ferris, and COO  Bill Gill, all proving to be mentors who not only supported but challenged her along the way.

When asked why did you choose to #GoCrowe Rachel says it's simple: the people.

We have a culture where we build each other up and support each other.

Busy mom and trusted leader

Outside of work, Rachel has two young boys that keep her busy. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially going on trips and making memories. Despite the impact of COVID limiting travel, Rachel and her family have started to go on more adventures locally, exploring British Columbia and going on camping trips. Apart from family time and travelling, she also finds enjoyment in cooking and baking!

Hilda Leung, CPA, CA

Hilda is a firm leader in designing and implementing audit programs, assisting clients with IPOs, reverse takeovers, spin-out transactions, filing statements, and other regulatory requirements. A natural problem-solver, Hilda thrives in organizing and deciphering financial data and information, and applying the appropriate accounting treatment or audit approach. With a strong understanding of accounting cycles, procedures, and internal controls, Hilda can identify key audit risks and significant audit issues and report to those charged with governance. She has extensive experience in researching and documenting complex accounting issues.

Although she works with numbers, to Hilda her career is about telling her clients the story behind their business' operations; extracting data, transforming it into a digestible format, and communicating relationships, is all like piecing characters of the story together.

Throughout her career at Crowe, Hilda is grateful for always being surrounded by inspiring role models, hardworking peers, and supportive team members.

Accounting work is going to be the same no matter which firm I work in, but I would be miserable if I felt I could not trust or depend on my team as I can at Crowe. I love how our firm is in that sweet spot between a mid-size and a large international firm. It is small enough to feel like your team is your family and your voice is heard, but large enough that we have infrastructure and resources we can leverage from other offices and international affiliates.

Scenic walks + traveling + interior design

Where can you find Hilda on her days out of the office? Likely walking along Vancouver's seawall pit stopped somewhere reading her e-book. She loves to travel, exploring new cities and discovering new cultures, and is looking forward to it being safe again to go on more adventures.

Hilda is also interested in interior design. After her own home reno project and sourcing materials, she's convinced that if she hadn't chosen accounting as her career interior design would be runner up!
