Fresh off the heels of a very successful Scotland seminar, Invest Barbados has also concluded a seminar in England.

CEO of Invest Barbados Kaye-Anne Brathwaite led the Barbados team, which also included High Commissioner for Barbados, Milton lnniss as well as Ian Gittens, Chairman of Business Friends of Barbados. She urged attendees to "consider Barbados as a premier place to live, work and invest."

During her presentation, Brathwaite informed attendees that Invest Barbados has also made non-traditional markets and sectors in Europe, Africa and the Middle East a focus of the investment promotion agency.

CEO Brathwaite listed insurance as one key sector which had been very instrumental to the Barbados economy during 2020, and highlighted wealth management and information technology as other sectors that have withstood the shocks of the pandemic.

The response by seminar attendees was very favourable, with participants already showing interest in Invest Barbados' upcoming trade mission in November. Friends of Barbados Chairman, Ian Gittens made the comments, "ln my opinion this Scottish leg was well received with over 20% of the attendees seriously considering further discussions on their requirements at the upcoming Scottish Trade Mission to Barbados in November."

Gittens, along with Inniss, were also very active in assisting with the Scottish seminar.
