BOSTON (April 18, 2024) – Holland & Knight has expanded its Data Strategy, Security & Privacy (DSSP) Team with the addition of Kevin Angle as senior counsel in its Boston office. He was previously counsel at Ropes & Gray.

Mr. Angle partners with clients to navigate the cross-jurisdictional challenges they face regarding U.S. federal and state privacy and cybersecurity laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as well as the European Union's (EU) comprehensive General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other international laws.

For more than 12 years, Mr. Angle has advised clients on privacy and cybersecurity matters, helping clients to develop comprehensive data protection programs and to recognize the value of their data. He also advises clients on data protection issues arising in complex corporate transactions, helping companies identify both risks and opportunities around data utilization pre- and post-close. In addition, his notable experience includes assisting clients in responding to data security incidents ranging from ransomware to payment card theft in the United States and multijurisdictional settings. He is known for developing key legal solutions that effectively mitigate risk while meeting or exceeding business objectives.

Mr. Angle received a J.D. degree from Columbia Law School and an A.B. degree from Harvard University.

He is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and New York and is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
