From Term Sheet to Completion: Navigating M&A Deals in Cyprus

Marlen studied Law at the University of Bristol and subsequently completed the Legal Practice Course with a Master’s degree in Business at the University of Law in London.

She began her legal career in London, where she spent three years working in the insolvency and finance sector, gaining valuable experience in complex commercial matters. In 2021, Marlen joined Pyrgou Vakis, where she completed her traineeship and has been a practicing lawyer in Cyprus since 2022.

Marlen’s areas of practice include corporate and commercial law, insolvency law, and intellectual property, with a focus on providing practical and commercially driven legal advice.
 

Maria graduated from Panteion University of Greece in 2010 with a degree in Public Administration and later obtained her LLB from the University of Nicosia. She joined Pyrgou Vakis Law Firm in February 2012 as a Corporate Administrator and, following the completion of her law degree and traineeship, has been a practising lawyer since 2020.

Maria is a member of the Firm’s Corporate team, advising on Corporate and Commercial matters, Insolvency law, and Compliance and Regulatory issues. She also contributes to projects relating to the Firm’s ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015 compliance. Maria is fluent in Greek and English and holds a DELF A1 certificate in French.

Georgia Papa is a Director at Pyrgou Vakis LLC, a Cyprus-based law firm advising international investors and corporates on M&A, corporate and commercial matters.
