The SEC named Marc Berger as Director of the SEC New York Regional Office. He starts in January 2018.

Mr. Berger is currently co-head of the securities and futures enforcement practice at Ropes & Gray LLP. He previously served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York, where he supervised significant financial and investment fraud cases as Chief of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force.

As Director of the New York office, Mr. Berger will oversee a staff of nearly 400 employees. The New York office is responsible for supervising more than 4,000 SEC-registered financial institutions.
