On November 2, 2020, in response to the growing COVID-19 pandemic, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker issued several new measures to help curb the spread of COVID-19 across the state.
Key updates include the following:
- Stay at home advisory from 10pm until 5am except for necessary activities (work and school).
- Many businesses must close by 9:30pm. Restaurants must stop table service at 9:30pm, but can continue with takeout orders.
- Indoor gatherings are now limited to 10 people - 25 for outdoors.
- Masks required in public even if able to maintain 6 feet of distance for those over 5, including on public ways when not in a personal vehicle (e.g., exercising) and on public transit.
- Goes into effect on at 12:01 on Friday November 6.
