Online event ticket sales have been a common topic of complaints
filed with the Federal Trade Commission so much so that the
Commission has announced it will hold a public workshop on March
27, 2019. The Release states, "Issues that frequently arise in
connection with online event ticket sales include practices that
prevent consumers from obtaining tickets, mislead consumers about
price or availability, or mislead consumers about the entity from
which they are purchasing." The Commission is seeking public
input and the submission deadline is December 5, 2018.
