President Donald J. Trump nominated Elad Roisman to serve as a
Commissioner of the SEC.
Mr. Roisman, a Republican, is currently Chief Counsel for the Senate
Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs. Mr. Roisman
previously served as counsel to former SEC Commissioner Daniel
Gallagher, and began his career as a corporate and securities
lawyer.
Mr. Roisman was nominated to serve a five-year term that would
expire in 2023. If confirmed, he will succeed outgoing Republican
Commissioner Michael Piwowar, who
announced his intention to leave by July 7, 2018.
