CMS Announces 2014 Amounts In Controversy Threshold Amounts For Medicare Appeals

CMS has published its annual update of the amount in controversy (AIC) threshold
amounts for Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) hearings and
judicial review under the Medicare appeals process. Effective for
requests filed on or after January 1, 2014, the AIC threshold
amounts are $140 for ALJ hearings (the same as 2013) and $1,430 for
judicial review (compared to $1,400 in 2013).
