US House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling Vows To Dismantle Dodd-Frank

On January 26, 2017, House Financial Services Committee Chairman
Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) issued a statement in which he criticized the
Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act for
institutionalizing big bank bailouts. He noted that Republicans on
the Financial Services Committee are eager to work with President
Trump and the new administration to replace the Dodd-Frank Act with
his draft legislation, The Financial CHOICE Act. Additionally,
Chairman Hensarling announced subcommittee assignments for
Republican members on the House Financial Services Committee.
