FRB Chair Jerome H. Powell swore in Michelle W. Bowman for a second term as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.

Ms. Bowman assumed the position on November 26, 2018 to fill an unexpired term that ended on January 31, 2020. President Trump renominated Ms. Bowman on April 4, 2019; she was reconfirmed by the U.S. Senate on September 12, 2019.

Prior to her appointment, Ms. Bowman served as the Kansas State Bank Commissioner and an executive at Farmers and Drovers Bank. In addition, Ms. Bowman served in government in several capacities, including as (i) a staffer for Senator Bob Dole, (ii) counsel for several House committees, and (iii) Director of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs at the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
