The fifth edition of the
Global Regulatory Outlook (GRO) aims to guide asset managers
through the areas of focus for finaicial regulators in 2017 and
beyond. From the FCA's Senior Management Certification Regime,
to the SFC's Manager in Charge Regime, regulators, globally,
are focused on indivdual accountability.
Personal accountability is having an impact. As regulators hold
individuals accountable, and not only their employers, the threat
of personal sanctions is ensuring that compliance personnel put
their duties before other considerations.
"This new regime may be a game-changer. Almost a decade
after the financial crisis, cultural change in financial services
is starting to happen," as Monique explains.
