Convention Centre & Auditorium of Monte-Carlo, Monaco, 10 - 12 June 1997

Due to the resounding success of SHOREX 96, the World's first offshore finance exhibition in London last year, the event will not only be repeated this year in London but will also branch out to the warmer seas of the Mediterranean. Yes, SHOREX SUMMER 97 will take place at the Convention Centre & Auditorium of Monte-Carlo, Monaco from the 10 - 12 June 1997 where the world's leading offshore finance practitioners will join together in a three day offshore professional services exhibition and will have another opportunity to experience the "Ultimate Networking Event".

SHOREX SUMMER 97 will follow on from the success of SHOREX 96 and OFFSHORE 2000 last year. SHOREX 96 attracted more than 1750 visitors, 170 delegates to the conference, over 60 exhibitors from around the world including 12 governments from various offshore jurisdictions along with companies such as: Coutts & Co, Rothschilds, Lloyds Bank, The International Herald Tribune, Investment Weekly, Portfolio International and Jordans to name just a few.

SHOREX SUMMER 97 will cover the developments and opportunities that arise from operating in offshore jurisdictions (often referred to as 'tax havens'). Exhibitors will present examples of operating structures for private use and corporate end-users illustrating their firm's professional capabilities.

ADVANCED OFFSHORE, is the conference running alongside the exhibition, in which an international panel of prominent speakers from the offshore industry will address and analyse the latest trends and key issues within the industry such as: Alternative Structures to the Trusts, Management of Offshore Structures, Due Diligence and Bank Secrecy. The conference will also incorporate interactive round tables to allow the delegates to discuss chosen areas in more depth with the speakers of the morning. Shorex conferences always attract high profile speakers and our last conference boasted speakers such as: Angela Knight MP, Economic Secretary to the Treasury; Christopher Poll, Chairman, Micropal Ltd; Nigel Eastaway, Partner, Moores Rowland and Joe Nicholas, Chairman, Hedge Fund Research.

Philippe Gelin, Managing Director of Offshore World Publishing, comments: "Before November 1996, an exhibition on offshore professional services looked like an interesting idea. Now, after the success of SHOREX 96, it's more than just a good idea, it's a concept that works for both the professional and the end-user and the offshore industry is already looking forward to attending SHOREX in London and Monaco this year."

Note to editors: Offshore World Publishing is the publisher of the 'Offshore Institute's Membership Directory & Analysis 1996' the leading offshore directory.
