As reported in our previous "Stop Press," the House of Commons Standing Order Committee had ruled that the deadline for responses be extended until 10 February 2014.

This has now been extended further following the House of Lords Standing Order Committee reviewing the decision of the House of Commons Standing Order Committee and deciding that the time given was still insufficient – particularly in the light of the missing 900 pages.

HS2 Ltd has therefore been required to further extend the deadline to make representations on the Environmental Statement to Thursday 27 February 2014.  HS2 Ltd have released a press statement saying that they are happy to comply with this new deadline.

The Charles Russell HS2 team can offer (and is already offering) experienced legal and commercial advice to help at each stage of the process (including assisting a number of our clients with responding to the Environmental Statement) and would be delighted to discuss with you your own needs to plan the best route to holding the project to account, altering HS2 policy and protecting your interests.
