Jeremiah Kowalchuk elected as Managing Partner effective July 1, 2019

Field Law is pleased to introduce Jeremiah Kowalchuk as Field Law's Managing Partner for a three-year term commencing July 1, 2019.

Jeremiah is experienced litigation counsel, having represented medium-to-large companies as well as owners, contractors, and engineers before all levels of court in Alberta and in the Federal Court. He represents and advises clients in many areas of law including general litigation, corporate and commercial issues and disputes, and transactional work. He is the former Chair of the Firm's Litigation Practice Group and served on the Firm's Executive Committee for the past two years; he is based out of Field Law's Edmonton office.

Jeremiah received a Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Saskatchewan in 1999, after which he received a Bachelor of Laws, With Distinction, from the University of Alberta in 2002. Jeremiah began working at Field Law in 2002 and was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 2003. He continued to work at the Firm until 2006, at which point he practiced law in a small firm for six years. Jeremiah re-joined Field Law as a partner in 2012.

Jeremiah has provided extensive support to the Alberta legal community by sitting on the Executive of the Canadian Bar Association's Alberta Branch for five years, including a year as President from 2016-2017, and on the Board of Directors of the Edmonton Community Legal Centre.
